Everyone Was Drawn to her Positivity: Angela and Mallery’s Story

As told by Angela’s daughter, Mallery.

My mom passed unexpectedly in September 2024. She had been sick for a few days and finally decided to go to the ER. They did scans and found massive blood clots in her lungs.

They were about to med-flight her when she passed away within 1.5 hours of arriving at the hospital. They did CPR for 15 minutes to try and save her. It all happened so quickly.

Her symptoms included shortness of breath, vomiting, and dizziness. I do believe it started as a DVT, which was knocked loose and traveled to her lungs.

She had a PE when she was pregnant with me 26 years ago. They med-flighted her and were able to save her back then.

My mom was like no other. She dedicated her life to Jesus and loved The Rolling Stones. A few months before she passed, she got to see them in concert for the first time, and I’m so happy about that!

She loved painting rocks and hiding them all around our town because she knew the right person would find them when God needed them to.

She brought so many people together. Everyone was drawn to her positivity. She was the funniest person I’ve ever met without even trying. She didn’t realize how amazing she was.

I am an only child, and she always made me feel so special. She was my best friend, and I was hers. She included me in everything, which is why I am blessed to be left with so many second moms. Nobody will ever replace her. She loved like Jesus, and everyone who knew her is a better person today because of her.

She wanted to be a grandma so badly and loved all babies. She was taken away too soon, and now my future children will never get to meet their amazing grandma. I will always make sure her memory lives on forever.
