The Road to Steelhead: Follow John Frutiger as he Trains for a Half Ironman to Support NBCA!

Tarrytown, New York, April 9, 2013:  National Blood Clot Alliance is proud to support the efforts of John Frutiger as he competes in the IRONMAN 70.3 Steelhead 2013 in Benton Harbor, MI on August 4th, 2013 as a tribute to his older sister, Anna, who passed away from an undiagnosed DVT in May of 2010.    While we all can’t compete in half ironman, we can track his efforts to train for this intensive event by following him on his blog – where he plans to make weekly entries to keep us inspired on his progress.

Alan Brownstien, NBCA’s CEO said, “We salute John efforts to continue to educate and spread awareness about the risks, signs and symptoms of blood clots in memory of his sister Anna.”  Be sure to check out John’s fundraising page and show your support by making a donation!
