One of the most important attributes for a nonprofit organization is the ability to prove its trustworthiness to the people who depend on and support it.
The National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA) is proud to announce that it has earned the prestigious Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2025. This distinction is the highest level of recognition offered by Candid (formerly GuideStar) and is awarded only to the most trusted and accountable nonprofit organizations.
Candid, the world’s largest database of nonprofit organizations, helps donors make well-informed decisions by providing information about charities and their operations. Fewer than one percent of U.S.-based nonprofits has achieved the Platinum Seal in 2025, making this recognition a significant honor.
To receive the Candid Platinum Seal, nonprofits must meet a rigorous set of standards, including:
- Providing comprehensive and accurate information about their mission, programs, finances, and governance
- Sharing their strategic goals and the impact of their work
- Being open to public feedback and engagement
“We are deeply honored to receive the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency,” said Tarin Patrikis, deputy director of NBCA.
“This shows our supporters that their contributions are making a difference. We also hope that this will inspire new supporters who are looking to donate to a trustworthy organization committed to saving lives and improving public health.”
