At each stop, attendees will be empowered with life-saving information:

  • How to spot the signs and symptoms of blood clots
  • Risk factors and prevention strategies
  • Why certain populations, like Black Americans, face higher risks
  • Firsthand stories from blood clot survivors
  • Live Q&A sessions with clinical experts
  • Hands-on vascular demonstrations utilizing ultrasound technology to show how DVT is detected

Blood clots are a serious public health crisis in the United States, affecting 900,000 people each year, resulting in 100,000 often-preventable deaths. NBCA is committed to bringing critical blood clot education to all Americans, particularly underserved populations and high-risk communities.

Mississippi is home to some of the most medically underserved regions in the United States—where systemic barriers to care are among the most extreme in the country. This imbalance creates vast gaps in access—especially for communities already facing disproportionate health risks.
