Blood clots are a serious public health crisis in the United States, affecting 900,000 people each year, resulting in 100,000 often-preventable deaths. NBCA is committed to bringing critical blood clot education to all Americans, particularly underserved populations and high-risk communities.
Mississippi is home to some of the most medically underserved regions in the United States—where systemic barriers to care are among the most extreme in the country. This imbalance creates vast gaps in access—especially for communities already facing disproportionate health risks.
