On November 1, 2026, thousands of runners will take on the streets of New York City. As a member of Team Stop the Clot, you’ll run for more than a finish line — you’ll run to prevent blood clots and save lives. Every mile you train and every dollar you raise supports the National Blood Clot Alliance’s mission dedicated to advancing the prevention, early diagnosis and successful treatment of life-threatening blood clots.

The fundraising minimum for Team Stop the Clot runners is $5,000 by October 31, 2026.

While the minimum fundraising requirement for Team Stop the Clot is $5,000, we welcome runners who are inspired to set a more ambitious goal. Additional consideration may be given to applicants who are prepared to commit to fundraising beyond the minimum. In past years, many team members have set goals of $7,500–$10,000 or more. Please indicate the total fundraising goal you are personally committing to and briefly describe your plan to reach it.
Runners who secure their own official race entry are asked to commit to a $1,000 minimum fundraising goal to join the team.


What is the National Blood Clot Alliance (Team Stop the Clot)? 

The National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, voluntary health organization dedicated to advancing the prevention, early diagnosis and successful treatment of life-threatening blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. NBCA is the leading nonprofit organization in the United States focused singularly on building awareness and building community among people who are affected by blood clots or at increased risk for blood clots.
