Stop the Clot, Spread the Word® Bus Tour (Phase 2)

NBCA Launches Phase 2 of the Stop the Clot, Spread the Word Bus Tour

Blood clots are a serious public health crisis in the United States, affecting 900,000 each year, resulting in 100,000 often-preventable deaths. NBCA is committed to bringing critical blood clot education to all Americans, particularly underserved populations and high-risk communities.

Building on the success of the B.L.A.C.K. (Black Lives Advocating for Clot Knowledge) Church Bus Tour in March 2025, which brought blood clot education to underserved and at-risk communities through faith-based partnerships, the Stop the Clot, Spread the Word Bus Tour focuses on reaching all races of people and indigenous communities, where access to education and early detection can make a life-saving difference.

Phase 2 will expand to include outreach through various community events across:

✅ Oklahoma
✅ New Orleans, LA
✅ Jackson, MS
✅ Houston, TX

Attendees will be empowered with life-saving information:

  • How to spot the signs and symptoms of blood clots
  • Risk factors and prevention strategies
  • Why certain populations, like Black Americans, face higher risks
  • Firsthand stories from blood clot survivors
  • Live Q&A sessions with clinical experts

Plus, enjoy free health screenings, refreshments, raffle prizes, and more.
