Stop the Clot B.L.A.C.K. Church Bus Tour

The National Blood Clot Alliance is Proud to Announce the Launch of its First-Ever B.L.A.C.K. Church Bus Tour—Black Lives Advocating for Clot Knowledge

Blood clots are a serious public health crisis, especially in the Black community, where risks and outcomes are disproportionately more severe.

This groundbreaking initiative will take place during Blood Clot Awareness Month in March 2025, visiting Black churches across six southern cities: Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Memphis, TN; and Nashville, TN. These cities are home to over 55% of the Black population in the United States. The tour aims to address critical health disparities by partnering with trusted local churches to deliver lifesaving blood clot education and awareness directly to Black communities.

Attendees will be empowered with life-saving information!

  • Learn the signs and symptoms of blood clots.
  • Understand the risk factors, such as pregnancy, and how to prevent blood clots.
  • Understand why Black Americans are disproportionately impacted by blood clots.
  • Hear from members of the Black community who experienced blood clots.
  • Participate in a Q&A session with experts.
  • Enjoy free health screenings, refreshments, raffle prizes, and more!
