ha-vteThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is making available new resources about healthcare associated venous thromboembolism. People who are currently or recently hospitalized, recovering from surgery, or being treated for cancer are at increased risk of developing serious and potentially deadly blood clots.

You can access CDC’s main HA-VTE information page by clicking here. Resources from this CDC educational effort can be found at this link.

Also, you can access consumer education materials stemming from work associated with the Cooperative Agreement between the National Blood Clot Alliance and CDC by visiting www.stoptheclot.org/spreadtheword.

Healthcare professionals interested in pursuing no-cost CEUs relative to the diagnosis and treatment of venous thromboembolism can register for NBCA’s online curriculum here. The National Blood Clot Alliance developed and designed this curriculum with support provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under Cooperative Agreement 5U27DD000545.
