This webinar aims to inform all cancer patients about the risk of blood clots. NBCA Medical and Scientific Advisory Board member, Dr. Jeffrey Zwicker, will share ways to reduce blood clot risk, specifically in the cancer community. Dr. Zwicker will be joined by Heidi Kugler, an ovarian cancer patient and blood clot survivor, and Olympia Cepeda, MPH, a breast cancer patient and blood clot survivor, and the Director of LatinaSHARE and Senior Outreach who will address this topic from the patient perspective.
Dr. Zwicker is a leading expert in the cancer field with over 25 years of experience. Dr. Zwicker received a Bachelor of Science at University of California at Berkeley, Medical Degree at Penn State University and Masters of Medical Science at Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is currently the Chief of Hematology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
