This talk – Selection of a Risk Assessment Model for VTE Prevention in Hospitalized Medical Patients – will be presented by Dr. Holger J. Schünemann and Dr. Andrea Darzi.
In this webinar, Dr. Schünemann and Dr. Darzi will:
- Identify approaches to developing risk assessment models and associated limitations.
- Describe why using a combination of evidence-based findings and clinical expertise is the ideal approach for factor selection and RAM development.
- Describe findings from the systematic review and novel approach that included a Delphi process and how these findings can inform guideline development and clinical practice to prevent VTE and clinically significant bleeding events.
