National Blood Clot Alliance announces schedule of upcoming Stop The Clot® Forums

A Stop The Clot® Forum is an interactive program that provides basic information about blood clots, signs and symptoms, risk factors, prevention and treatment.  Stop The Clot® Forums provide a venue to share up-to-date information to those whose lives are affected by blood clots and clotting disorders with experts in the field.   This affected population will be better equipped to make decisions about their health, communicate with their health care providers and cope with living with blood clots and clotting disorders.   The National Blood Clot Alliance is pleased to announce the schedule of upcoming Stop The Clot® Forums throughout the country:

National Blood Clot Alliance’s Stop The Clot® Forums are funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). NBCA’s goal is to close the knowledge gaps about blood clots and clotting disorders by providing health information to this target audience.

The National Blood Clot Alliance is a patient led advocacy group whose mission is to prevent, diagnose and treat blood clots and clotting disorders through research, education, support and advocacy.  Each year over 100,000 people die from undiagnosed blood clots, making it one of the leading causes of death in the United States.

For additional information about Stop The Clot® Forums including how to schedule one for your area, please contact Judi Kaplan Elkin, Director of Regional Development and Education at jelkin@stoptheclot.org
